Ministry Vision

We pray earnestly to our Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest.

“New church planting is the only way that we can be sure we are going to increase the number of believers in a city and one of the best ways to renew the whole Body of Christ. The evidence for this statement is strong–Biblically, sociologically, and historically." - Pastor Tim Keller
“We have exhausted our local church support base for missionaries. We need to plant more churches if we are to continue to send missionaries around the world.” - Dr. David Cummins

New Church plants

We are seeking to strategically plant new churches to reach the unsaved and unchurched in the cities of America. Our prayer is that God would allow us to plant and grow new churches via new conversions and genuine discipleship. We are centering our efforts on the Salt Lake City area in Utah, where the local Evangelical Christian population is less than 3%.

The Team

The initial team is composed of three full-time pastors and one evangelist. All four men and their wives have been serving in leadership capacities for the past 8-11 years. We desire to bring our diverse gifts into submission for a united effort: church planting in the Salt Lake City Valley.

In our Salt Lake City initiative, Lukus Counterman will be a main voice charged with proclaiming vision and truth. As a Reserve Air Force Chaplain at Hill Air Force Base (just north of SLC), Lukus will also take advantage of many military ministry opportunities. Both Jonathan Albright and Jon Kopp are speakers, musicians, organizers, techies and disciplers. They will serve the team and head up various aspects of these plants. Jonathan has a burden to lead the college ministry and worship. Jon is specifically burdened for the preaching, communications, and community involvement side of the ministry. Will Galkin, his family and team plan to spend significant time each year serving the church in SLC. Will desires to weave the philosophy and vision for discipleship into the fabric of our plant. He has spent several years traveling around the country promoting the growth of healthy churches, and so he brings the unique platform of connecting the burden and needs of Salt Lake City with a large network of churches.

By God's grace, we seek to plant churches that center on genuine worship, intentional relational evangelism, gospel-centered discipleship and community, and purposed multiplication.

Our heart

We are passionate about the true gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible. We love it. We cling to it! Our hearts and lives are filled with speaking of Jesus Christ in any way possible. We have all been uniquely moved by God from satisfying God-blessed ministries toward this endeavor. We believe the gospel must be proclaimed in places where it isn't, and we long to see our generation step up to reach the neediest areas of our country and world. We long to build churches that bring others to saving faith and true discipleship. We are burdened to take what God has poured into our lives and invest it in the lives of others, especially in Salt Lake City, UT. By God's grace, as we look into the future, we would love to train and disciple future church planters!
